Next Week is Full of Fun!

All week we will work on winter holiday activities!

Each day we will do something special to get us in the holiday spirit!

Monday: Watching Polar Express while drinking hot chocolate!!

Tuesday: Pizza party while watching holiday movies!!

Wednesday: Winter Wonderland Party! Creating fun crafts and watching Frosty the Snowman at the end of the day!!

LeRoy Collins Field Trip

Tomorrow, December 9, we will be going to the LeRoy Collins Library from 9:30-1:30. Do not forget to send your child with their lunch!
We are going to have a blast!

PBS (Positive Behavior Support) Celebration

Today we had our PBS Celebration! 

Students that achieved either an E or an S in Behavior for the first 9 weeks of school had a great time dancing and singing in the cafeteria!

Tech-ghet-ti Dinner/ Art Show/ Book Fair/ Fall Ball

Tomorrow, November 15, from 5-8pm we will be having our Tech-ghet-ti dinner, Art Show, Book Fair, and Fall Ball!

Veterans Day is November 11; there will be no school.

Going home today are Tech-ghet-ti ticket orders and Picture retake forms!

-Picture retakes will be on November 9.

-Tech-ghet-ti will be on November 15 from 5:00-8:00. Dinner will be served at 5:30.

Tech-ghet-ti Dinner

Tech-ghet-ti dinner will be held November 15 from 5-8pm.

The Book Fair and the Art show will take place from 5-8pm. The Book Fair will be located in the Media Center. The Art show will display students’ drawings of their teachers! Mr. McDowell chose 1 artwork per class to put on display; the drawings will not have the teacher’s names, this makes it fun because you will have to guess!

Dinner will be served from 5:30-6:30 in the cafeteria. Special guests will include our Superintendent Jackie Pons!

After dinner there will be technology presentations in different classrooms.

Please come on out for a night of good food and fun! If our class sells the most tickets, I will get a special prize and the children will be rewarded with a class pizza party!!

Tickets will be before the event and at the door! Keep an eye out for a flyer this week to purchase your tickets!

Honor Roll Assembly

Monday, November 7 at 9:45-10:15

The Honor Roll Assembly will be held in the cafeteria.

Pumpkin Party

We had a fabulous day today! 

The kids definitely had a great time playing games, making their popcorn hands, and participating in relay races. Thank you to all of the parents that donated items and volunteered, we couldn't have done it without you!!

Celebrating Red Ribbon Week

We have worked hard to create a bat cave that shows we are Saying No to Drugs.

Get ready to celebrate Fall with second grade's Pumpkin Party!

We will participate in 5 rotations:
-pumpkin bean bag toss
-pumpkin relay race
-pumpkin drawing
-pumpkin gutting contest
-making popcorn hands

We hope that you can join us from 10:30-12:30, Monday, October 31!

Field Trip to the Animal Shelter

We had a BLAST at the Animal Shelter!

We were able to see a cat get a microchip implanted!
